Solar dos Salemas (Salema Manor House)

Originally built in the 18th/19th centuries, this manor house consists of a dwelling, a support building, a cellar, a garden with a tidal lake, a tidal well, a belvedere, a toilet, and a vineyard. Its origins are linked to the cultivation of vines and wine production, as is the case with almost all manor houses of this type, whose name does not directly derive from a noble lineage, even though noble families built them, but from the fact that their owners managed extensive wine estates. They are always secondary and seasonal dwellings that enjoy a visual territory orientated towards cultivating vines.
To this day, this manor house is used for viticultural activity, wine production, and tourism.
