Coastal bathing site of Laja das Rosas

The Laja das Rosas bathing area is part of the Protected Landscape of the Vineyard Culture of Criação Velha as a Cultural Landscape. It is divided into two areas: the enclosed natural pool and the bathing area with access to the open sea. It blends perfectly into the basalt landscape of the Criação Velha lajido.
It is an unsupervised bathing area with several facilities to support bathing activities, such as sun loungers, parasols, public toilets, and a snack bar. It is one of Pico Island's most popular bathing areas, with high demand in the summer.
